Day 01: Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya

Your Kenyan Journey starts here with touch down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi Kenya (JKIA). At hand will be your Photography Safari Director and Guide ready to receive and usher you into the Kenya safari capital. There will be a short pre safari brief by your Photography Safari Director after which you will be transferred and assisted to check into your Hotel. Overnight will be at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi. Breakfast Included.

Day 02: Depart Nairobi drive to Samburu National Reserve.

You will be met by a Features Africa Photography director for breakfast and a pre safari brief. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Wilson airport for your flight to Samburu National reserve. On arrival at Samburu, you will meet our ground team and be transferred to your hotel with a game drive en route. After lunch, you will have the first game drive starting at 1600Hrs. Return to the lodge at approximately 1830Hrs for your overnight and dinner.
Meal and overnight at the Samburu Larsens Camp.

Day 03 & 04: On Safari at Samburu

We will have a wakeup call at 0530 Hrs. after which we assemble for early morning coffee. We venture out of our camp in search of the big cats of Samburu and other wild species in this area. We return to our lodge for full breakfast at 0900Hrs.

At 1600Hrs we start our evening game drive again returning back to our lodge early evening at approximately 1845Hrs.
Samburu National Reserve is one of the lesser-known national parks, but is nevertheless teeming with life. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five).
We will be spending the night at the Samburu Larsens Camp.

Day 05: Depart Samburu drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You will be treated to a final morning game drive. Return to your camp for breakfast and checkout. You will depart Samburu National Reserve and head for the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive at the Sweet Waters Serena Tented Camp in time for lunch and afternoon rest. At 1600 Hrs. we venture out for our game drive in search of the resident White and Black Rhinos of Ol Pejeta. Wild Dogs are also found in this area and can be seen from time to time roaming within the conservancy. We return to our camp at approximately 1900 Hrs. Dinner and overnight will be at the Sweet Waters Serena Tented Camp.

Day 06: On Safari at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This day will be spent with two game drives. An early morning game drive with a picnic bush style breakfast returning to our camp for lunch and afternoon rest. We venture out again early evening for another game drive returning to our camp for dinner and overnight at the Sweet Waters Serena Tented Camp.
Ol Pejeta is a mosaic of grass plains, wooded grassland, Acacia woodland and evergreen thicket extending for over 350 square kilometers. Ol Pejeta boasts an astounding variety of animals including non-indigenous chimpanzees and the Big Five. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plans will guarantee you an unforgettable safari experience.

Day 07: Depart Ol Pejeta Fly Over the Suguta Valley to Lake Turkana

After an early breakfast, we depart the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and transferred to the nearby Nanyuki Airstrip for our scenic aerial photography flight North. We board our chartered flight and begin our flight scaling the icy caps of Mount Kenya. We descend and fly over the changing colored waters of the Magado Crater. We proceed north flying over the Samburu conservation area, the Ewaso Nyiro river and the towering Ol lolokwe rocky outcrop. We proceed over the Mathews range and Poror ridge before descending into the Suguta valley.
We follow the Suguta River photographing the landscape. The ever-changing kaleidoscope of this desert valley is amazing. Within the Valley there are rivers, desert, scrub land, sand dunes, Lakes and rocky outcrops. We proceed to the Lake Logipi absorbing the amazing landscape while taking photos of the shallow alkaline lake and flamingoes that inhabit this seasonal lake.
You will proceed over the Suguta valley and Lake Turkana barrier with the desert land opening up to a turquoise blue massive Lake that is the Lake Turkana. We fly over the various islands as we proceed towards our Lodge for the Night. We land at the Desert Rose airstrip. Here we will be collected by the lodge vehicle and transferred to our hotel for a well-deserved Overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight will be at the Desert Rose.

Day 08: On Safari Lake Turkana, Suguta Valley – Lake Baringo

0600Hrs wake up call. We will meet for breakfast at 0700 hrs. We depart from the desert Rose at 0745 hrs and return to the air strip where we board our flight back towards the Suguta Valley Desert. We fly back into the desert exploring further as we head towards the Silale Crater and Kapedo rivers. We fly over the Kapedo town as we head over the lake Bogoria, known for its geysers and hot springs and huge Flamingo flocks. We photograph this lake finally landing at the Baringo air strip where we will be picked by our guides and transferred to the Tumbili Lodge for lunch and overnight stay.
At 0300 hrs, we board our vehicles and drive out to the nearby Lake Bogoria for an evening drive. We spend considerable time here photographing the flamingoes, Hot water geysers and Hot springs. Late evening we start our journey back towards our lodge for the night. Dinner and Overnight at Tumbili CliffLodge lake Baringo,

Day 09: On Safari at Lake Baringo/ Bogoria

0500 Hrs, Wake up call. We met for early morning coffee and board our boat at 0545 Hrs for our early morning excursion finding the early fishermen and the sunrise to get that perfect silhouette. After some sessions with the Njemps fishermen, we proceed towards the lake shores looking for the resident crocodiles and hippos. We then proceed towards the numerous islands in search of the Fish eagle and other numerous bird species. We return to our Lodge at 0900Hrs for breakfast and rest. The remainder of the day is spent at leisure. Optional visit to the nearby snake park or take a walk along the shores of Lake Baringo. Dinner and overnight at the Tumbili Cliff Lodge, Baringo.

Day 10: Depart Lake Baringo drive to Maasai Mara

0600 HRS. Wakeup call as we prepare for breakfast and departure. We will have a short safari brief from our Photography Director. A final check on all the equipment after which we will board our vehicles for the drive to Maasai Mara,
0700HRS. We embark on this 8 hour drive to the Maasai Mara. The drive takes us through lush Tea plantations. We will have brief stops taking photos of the expansive Tea plantations
before arriving at Kericho town for our lunch break.

We will proceed with the journey west arriving at Maasai Mara early evening. We will embark on an evening safari en-route to our camp, arriving at the camp in time for a well-deserved evening rest and dinner.
The Maasai Mara is probably one of Kenya’s most visited reserve with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti eco systems giving life to the both reserves before finally pouring out into the Lake Victoria.
Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent. Meals and nights will be at the Mara Crossings Camp.

Day 11, 12, and 13: On Safari at Maasai Mara

We will spend these complete days at the Maasai Mara national reserve. Our typical day involves around an early morning departure returning for Lunch and venturing out again in the evening for another game drive. This daily programs may however be altered depending on the wildlife sighting, migration patterns and the prevailing weather conditions. This will be always dependent on the safari director in conjunction with the safari guides.
0500 Hrs. Wakeup call at the camp. Freshen up as we assemble at the lounge for an early morning coffee/Tea with biscuits. We depart the camp at 0600Hrs with our picnic breakfast.
Early morning game drive in search of wildlife and we stop for our bush picnic breakfast at approximately 1000Hrs. After breakfast, we continue with our game drive arriving at our camp starting 1130 Hrs.
We rest and have lunch with the early afternoon free at the camp. We will have Tea/Coffee at 1500Hrs as we prepare to depart at 1545 Hrs. for our evening game drive. We return to our camp at 1900 Hrs. for our dinner and night at the Camp. All meals and overnights at the Mara Crossings Camp.

Day 14: Depart Maasai Mara fly to Nairobi

On our last day at the Maasai Mara, we will have an early morning out photographing Wildlife. We depart from our camp at 0630. We return to our camp at 0900 Hrs. for breakfast and refreshing before our transfer to the airstrip for our flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be transferred to the Hotel Karen Blixen Tamambo for our final lunch after which you will be transferred to JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) for your departing flight.
