0700HRS. We embark on this 6 hour drive to the Maasai Mara. The drive takes us through lush farmlands before arriving at the rift valley escarpment where we will have a brief stopover for photos.

The Great Rift Valley is one of the wonders of the world, stretching from the Syria, down through Africa, stretching as far as Mozambique. The mesmerizing view, as you approach from Nairobi, Kenya is breathtaking. The ground suddenly disappears from under you to show the huge expanse of the great rift, stretching into the horizon in either direction. Whilst this stunning introduction to the Rift valley is amazing in itself, actually descending and exploring the Lakes area of the Rift in Kenya is a “not to be missed” opportunity.

We will proceed with the journey west arriving at our Camp in time for lunch.
1300Hrs. We check in at the camp and proceed for hot lunch at the camp. After lunch we will settle in our rooms as we prepare to start our Photo Safari adventure.
1600Hrs. We depart for our evening Safari in search of the Wildlife.
The Maasai Mara is probably one of Kenya’s most visited reserve with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti eco systems giving life to the both reserves before finally pouring out into the Lake Victoria.
Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya. This journey is coupled by numerous obstacles which makes it even more magnificent.
Meals and nights will be at the Mara Crossings Camp.

Day 03 – 09: On Safari at Maasai Mara

We will be spending 07 complete days in the Maasai Mara.
0500Hrs: Wakeup call at the Camp. We will have some coffee or tea served with biscuits before we venture out for the Safari.

1100Hrs: Return to camp for rest and Lunch.

Every day after the safari, we will be meeting with our Safari director to plan for the upcoming day and share among the group. Meals and nights will be at the Mara Crossing Camp.

ABOUT THE CAMP: An Eco-friendly luxury tented camp; Mara Crossings Camp is uniquely located on the banks of the World famous Mara River.

Vibrant and rejuvenating, Mara Crossings Camp lies among indigenous shrubs right at the mighty rivers edge. A wild, yet intimate experience in the thick of the resident game this is the perfect vantage point for one of the most famous fording points of the wildebeest migration. Well used animal trails meander between 8 spacious, ensuite safari tents while quiet outlooks on the river’s edge allow guests, cocktail in hand to dream the afternoon away!

The camp is ideally located in the Musiara region famous for its plains of teeming wildebeest and no less carnivorous predators.
