Steve was born 38years ago in the city of Nairobi. His schooling however led him to other parts of the country with his Primary school life in Eastern province, Secondary education in Nakuru District and his University education in Eldoret town.
Steve developed a passion for Flora and Fauna in his formative years during school sponsored tours to national parks and game reserves. He remembers with fond memories” Sebastian the chimp” who lived at the animal orphanage in Nairobi and was a ‘darling’ to all school going kids and adults alike in the late 1980’s.
Steve graduated from Moi University with a bachelor’s degree (Tourism) in 2001. With the passion and theory immediately started working as a trainee driver guide.
In the last 15 years, Steve has been able to hone his skills and gain a wealth of experience and has also achieved the coveted silver level accreditation by the prestigious Kenya Professional Safari Guide Association (KPSGA).
Steve has worked with luxury safari companies within Kenya; he also worked as a guide at a 5 star safari eco –camp in the Maasai Mara. For the last 5 years, Steve worked as a tour leader/ Safari guide conducting regular trips to Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar with groups of between 18 and 28 persons. On a few occasions Steve has led groups on camping trips from Nairobi-Kenya to Cape town-South Africa traversing 6 countries with untold beauty.
Steve is very knowledgeable in matters wildlife, botany, regional anthropology, politics and ornithology. He has outstanding organizational skills in handling group dynamics and a sociable friendly flair
Steve lives in Nairobi with his wife Janet and their son Robin.
